Thousand Petal Rose should ideally be made with cooler water - at about 70-80⁰. It can also be cold brewed. For cold brewing with cold or room temperature water reduce the amount of tea leaves to 1 teaspoon (2g) per 300 ml.
The traditional way to make living tea is to use a small pot with a generous amount of leaves. The leaves are then used for multiple, short infusions. Living tea made this way brings out all of its taste, vibrancy and complexity.

Relieves Qi Stagnation. Calms the Shen.
In Chinese Medicine, rose (mei gui hua) is a gentle herb which can be used alone as a tea and in traditional herbal formulas. Rose is sweet, warm and relieves Qi stagnation by promoting circulation of Qi and Blood. Combining this with the cooling and descending nature of green tea gives the tangible effect of calming and settling the Shen.
This is may be felt as a sensation of Qi gathering around and then dropping down from Bai Hui (Du 20). This unique characteristic gives rise to the name Thousand Petal Rose, as Bai Hui in sanskrit is sahasrara meaning ‘thousand petalled’.
